UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields

UFC 129: St. Pierre vs. Shields will take place this Saturday at the Rogers Centre in Toronto Canada on April 30. Held the  Ultimate Fighting Championship UFC 129. Jake Shields who won 15 consecutive matches will try to take away the UFC Welterweight Championship belt from Georges St-Pierre.

The event will be the sixth, the UFC has hosted in Canada and in Ontario since the first mixed martial arts, it should be the biggest event in the history of the UFC and coincides with a two-day UFC Fan Expo Direct Energy Centre. UFC officials had initially planned to Rogers Centre to be configured to hold 42,000 fans for the 129th UFC event.

In title fight between current welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and top contender Jake Shields is the UFC 129, expecting U.S.A record holder for the present and an MMA event with all the 55,000 tickets for the event is already sold out.

St. Peter is at the top of his game and could well be one of the most rounded fighters in the history of sport. At 21-2 (15-2 UFC) his record back up his talent.

Shields has won world titles in EliteXC and Strikeforce. Recently, it has been Strikeforce welterweight champion, defeated Jason Mayhem Miller to win the title and Dan Henderson to defend the gold medal. He left the title of this promotion and decided to go for the richer pastures of the UFC.

St-Pierre has an advantage over Shields in the game standing where GSP Kyokushin karate and boxing background make him more of Shields with the hands and feet. However, when it comes to the running game, as qualified as is San Pedro, both in wrestling and jiu-jitsu, which is also a black belt with Bruno Fernandes, who must give the lead shields. A former college wrestler, All-American Cuesta College in California and highly decorated jiu-jitsu career, Shields has merged its stake in the fight jiu-jitsu, who describes his style as American Jiu-Jitsu.
